Welcome to the RecyclingCDs’ Spring Newsletter as we bid a fond farewell to winter and look forward to months of wind, rain and the odd glimpse of sunshine! Still, spring is always a good opportunity for a big clean and we hope you will join us in clearing out all those once loved possessions we no longer use, or the unwanted ‘why-did-I-even-buy-that’ items. Following the 3 Golden Rules, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, rather than throwing things in the rubbish bin we will of course either pass them on to someone else who may need them – you know what they say about one man’s junk being another’s treasure! – or come up with creative ways of reinventing and reusing our ‘junk’. Check out the RecyclinCDs forums for tips on how to dispose of and reinvent ‘waste’ sustainably.
Product Specials:
As Easter approaches, instead of the usual chocolate eggs why not give a RecyclingCDs clock as a special gift. Have a look at our ‘Seasonal‘ section for ideas. There are heaps more designs in all our product sections. Do let us know what you think of them and if you have any favourites or ideas for new designs. Maybe you prefer to design your own clock – great! Send us an image and we’ll see what we can do.
Competition:
Somewhere on our site are 6 lost chicks, can you find them?
They could be anywhere! First 5 entries drawn out on 10 April 2007 with the correct answer will win a clock & a cute chick. To enter search through our web site looking for the hidden chicks. Each chick has a number which needs to be entered in the form here.
Designs:
Looking for a clock with a musical theme? Look no further than Kingsley Davis’ designs. Having studied fine art and illustration at Westminster and Saint Martins, Kingsley demonstrates a good eye in his collection as well as eclectic musical tastes. His photographic designs include a wide range of artists including Amy Winehouse, Giles Peterson, Beverly Knight, Corinne Bailey Rae, Jamiroquai and even the Cheeky Girls! Something for everyone!
Forum:
If you want to keep in touch with recent recycling news, or have any views you would like to share, our forums are the place to be. Latest posts have info on recycling unwanted but usable furniture in London, inspired uses for plastic bottles, eco designs from Zero Waste and information on Belu’s awesome compostable water bottles. Have a look here and sign up to add your comments and post your own recycling ideas.
Recycle:
As usual, let us know if you have any CDs or DVDs to recycle and also what exciting new items you make from your spring clean ‘trash’.
Until next time, happy recycling!
